frequently asked questions
what is rounding?
Rounding is an advanced technique designed to purify the mind and body by facilitating deep rest. The process consists of a specific sequence of gentle yoga poses (asanas), balancing breath work (pranayama), meditation, and lying down. A typical round is about one hour long.
On a rounding retreat, you will complete several rounds a day, and in this way, will let go of exponential amounts of stress. A weekend’s Rounding Retreat can be the equivalent of six months of twice-daily meditation practice.
A round is typically performed on a yoga mat and doesn’t require any special equipment or skills. Comfortable clothes can be worn.
who can attend a rounding retreat?
This retreat is open to all graduates of a Vedic Meditation course or mantra based practice.

what if i release stress physically or emotionally?
Stress release is a normal and natural process of participating in a residential rounding retreat.
While most experiences on retreat are blissful and joyous, one may experience some temporary fatigue or emotional release as layers of stress are purified from the physiology.

i haven’t shared a room with someone on a retreat. what’s that like?
Room pairings are taken very seriously as we plan your experience on retreat. We take great care in understanding your sleeping patterns and preferences, and we use all the information you provide to pair you up with the most compatible roommate for the retreat.
Between rounding, meals, knowledge talks, and relaxation time on the expansive property, meditators find that they don’t spend much time in their rooms, except for sleeping at night.
There are plenty of tucked away, private nooks and crannies all around the main house and property at large for you to luxuriate in, should you feel the need for more privacy.
Meditators who embrace adaptability and openness walk away with a lifelong friend in their roommate at the end of retreats.
